Le Man Avec Les Lunettes are an Italian band born in the winter of 2004. They play sweet POP with awesome melodies, and their sound shows
the influence of names such as Belle & Sebastian, Grizzly Bear and The Beatles. Their songs are sometimes mellow, laid-back and melancholic, but at the same time containing a warm jazzy feel, weird electronic backgound noises, and sweet ironic tones mixed lovingly with twee pop.
Long story short: Alessandro met Fabio during a boring engineering lesson at the University, and they found out they had the same music taste. Soon after, they started to write songs together and set up their first live show. After a few gigs in Italy they sent a demo to the brilliant Emmaboda Festivalen (Sweden) and they were invited to perform there.
Since then, they have also toured Italy and Europe extensively (UK, France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Spain and Switzerland). In April 2012, Niccolò Corradini (film-maker), Lorenzo Caperchi (sound engineer) and Le Man Avec Les Lunettes toured Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbia. The produced an unconventional documentary titled “Possible Distances” about an Italian DIY indiepop band touring in Bosnia and Serbia, twenty years after the beginning of the war (possibledistances.net).
